Accredited Leadership and Entrepreneurial Courses launch in Hackney

Starting a business can be daunting, and entrepreneur and businesswoman extraordinaire Janice Beckles believes aspiring business owners should be equipped with entrepreneurial skills early. That’s why she created Leep Academy, a socially responsible company committed to delivering quality, fun, entrepreneurial programmes to start-ups and business owners.

“I started my first business in my early thirties, I joined a project which provided essential business skills and coaching, it made a huge difference to the sustainability of my business” says Janice who has several achievements, including becoming an Institute of Leadership and Management Approved Centre.

Leep Academy have already ran a programme in Hackney and the results were amazing.

Start-up business owners developed tangible business ideas, they developed a range of entrepreneurial skills including cash flow, marketing and social media, their confidence grew immensely. Janice is clearly passionate about education, and the team are totally committed to the helping start-ups to thrive!

To date, Leep Academy have helped over 450 individuals develop business ideas across London, but the team are not content to stop there. It is their desire to work in collaboration with training providers and local authorities providing enterprise support and courses with the glowing testimonials coming from candidates this is becoming more and more a reality.

Leep Academy has recently successfully achieved the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Approved Centre status and will begin delivering ILM qualifications from 6th April 2017

Joining the largest awarding body for leadership and management qualifications in the UK and a global network of over 2,000 accredited centres, Leep Academy will offer qualifications in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and Business Support.

Throughout ILM training, participants work through the skills needed to manage their teams effectively and make sure they are achieving organisational goals.

Janice Beckles said: “We went through a rigorous approval process to achieve our ILM status and are delighted that we will provide specialist leadership and management qualifications to individuals and employers from our local area. We are looking forward to welcoming our first ILM students in April.”

Encourage Tourist Trade

It’s spring, tourist peak season. Remember to make the most of tourist trade, take your business to the universal masses.

Top tip from our clients who work in construction and trades, make the most of the longer days. Spring is time for change! Many home owners use this time to clear out their gardens and renovate their homes for that BBQ season. Be prepared for one of the busiest times of the year.

Why not: Update your listings on sites such as Gumtree and some of the traders sites, (ensure you include your location, the postcodes and areas you cover.) Spruce up your online profiles and connect with people online, (ensure you list all your skills and qualifications.)

Give your LinkedIn and Social Media profiles a summer make over. Update any skills, qualifications and any experience or achievements to encourage people to endorse and recommend you. Review keywords to ensure you are making the most of opportunities.

Why not: Update your customer personas; review, refresh and revitalise your marketing.

Social Media Savvy

Summer is a great time to connect and re-connect with your audience.

Remember, communication is a 2 way process, we encourage you to get people engaging with your posts.

Why not: Ask questions! Encourage engagement and involvement, use popular topics. Get noticed! Use personality filled content. Be fun! Use images, share photos and videos of you and your team.

Concentrate On Content

According to research undertaken by NY Times study on the Psychology of Sharing;
78% of respondents said they share information online because it enables them to stay connected to people they may not otherwise stay in touch with.

Remember, step into the shoes of your customers, fall in with their problem, think about what is important to them.

Why not: Use this information and tailor posts to them, share content and posts which are relevant and they want to share!

Re-charge your batteries

Make the most of mobile apps and wi-fi. Review, relax and revitalise your business and most importantly yourself.

Don’t forget to re-energise yourself, it is important take time for you. Book your hols we recommend at least a 10 day vacation or a long weekend.
